On 10 September 2025, the Curry Bible team headed to Curry Leaf in Epworth, and this one felt different almost immediately.
Located on 76 High Street, Epworth, Doncaster, DN9 1EP, Curry Leaf does not just feel like another standard curry house. From the moment we walked in, it had a cleaner, sharper and more modern feel than plenty of places we have visited.
The restaurant was spotless. The presentation was strong. The atmosphere felt warm without being old-fashioned. There was even a photo area, which obviously meant six curry fanatics were legally required to use it after the meal.
No choice. Curry law.
But the important thing is this: Curry Leaf did not just look good. It backed it up.
The food was strong, the drinks scored well, the room felt comfortable, and the full experience came together in a way that made this one of our highest-rated Curry Bible visits so far.
The final score was 8.21/10.
That puts Curry Leaf firmly near the top end of the Curry Bible table.

The Curry Bible Verdict
Curry Leaf was, simply put, excellent.
This was not a place scraping points from one good dish while everything else dragged behind. It performed strongly across the full curry-night experience: food, drinks, atmosphere, cleanliness, presentation and overall feel.
That matters because the best curry houses do not win by accident. They stack the details.
A clean restaurant tells you something. Good lighting tells you something. Proper presentation tells you something. Staff who keep things moving without making you feel rushed tell you something.
Curry Leaf felt like a restaurant that actually cared about the full experience, not just getting plates on a table.
The food was the main event, as it should be. Taste scores were consistently strong, with several reviewers going high. Drinks also performed extremely well, which is not always the case on Curry Bible reviews. When drinks, food and atmosphere are all working together, the whole night naturally feels better.
Was it perfect? No.
There were still some mixed scores, especially around service and value from certain members. Louis gave service a savage 5/10, because apparently peace was never an option. Damon was also more cautious on service and value.
But even with those stricter marks, Curry Leaf still landed at 8.21/10.
That says a lot.

What Curry Leaf Got Right
Curry Leaf’s biggest strength was how complete the experience felt.
The restaurant looked good. The food tasted good. The drinks scored well. The setting felt modern without losing the warmth you want from a proper curry house.
That balance is not easy.
Some curry houses are all flavour and no comfort. Some look great but serve average food. Some are cheap but forgettable. Curry Leaf managed to feel polished and enjoyable without becoming soulless.
That is why it scored so well.
The photo area might sound like a small thing, but it adds to the experience. It makes the place feel more memorable. People take photos, people share them, and the night sticks in the mind a bit more.
Smart move.
Final Thoughts
Curry Leaf is one of the best curry houses Curry Bible has visited so far.
It was clean, stylish, warm and well-run. The food was strong. The drinks were excellent. The atmosphere was modern and enjoyable. The full night felt like a proper curry-house experience with a bit of extra polish.
A score of 8.21/10 is not just good.
It is dangerous.
That score puts Curry Leaf comfortably near the top of the Curry Bible leaderboard and makes it one of the easiest recommendations from the early reviews.
Would we go back? Yes.
Would we recommend it? Absolutely.
Would we call it near-perfect? Not quite.
But it was not far off.
