📍 Overview
Our fifth Curry Club visit took us to Zolsha, located at 4 Bridgegate, Howden, Goole, DN14 7AB, on 12th November 2025. With its own car park, a quiet but pleasant location, and a warm appearance on arrival, Zolsha had the foundations of a great evening.
And in many ways, we did have a great time — but as the night went on, it became clear that the experience had some noticeable flaws. Some parts of the meal were excellent, while other details, particularly around service and facilities, held the restaurant back.
The result? A Curry Club average of 6.98/10, placing Zolsha firmly in the “good, but far from great” category.

Zolsha is a tricky one. The food itself showed real potential — several of us scored the taste highly, and some dishes genuinely impressed us.
But there were some serious issues too:
✔ The men’s toilet had only one cubicle, which was
• very cold
• not very clean
• and had no working lock, which resulted in an — let’s call it “unwanted surprise” — for one of us.
✔ We were also given an extra portion of rice we didn’t order, and then charged for it.
✔ Service was inconsistent across the group. Some found it friendly and attentive; others found it slow and unorganised.
So while the night itself was enjoyable in a social sense — good laughs, good company, and a lively atmosphere among the six of us — the restaurant experience didn’t quite match the mood.
In short:
Zolsha could be great with some key improvements, but the flaws held it back more than expected.
